Viewing Tips for Videos

Current Protocols in Cell Biology has introduced videos to illustrate the performance of particular steps of selected protocols. To view the videos associated with Current Protocols units, you will need to have the latest version of the free QuickTime software installed on your computer.

Whenever video content is available, you will see a [ Download video ] link. For best results, we recommend opening the video in a new window by right clicking on the link and selecting "Open in New Window". Some video files are quite large, and it is normal for some time (30 to 60 seconds for high speed connections) to elapse while the file downloads before the video will begin playing.

There are currently two CPCB units that contain videos, and we will publish more multimedia content in future updates:

UNIT 4.7 Cryo-Immunogold Electron Microscopy
Includes eleven videos

UNIT 22.9 Assembly and Micromanipulation of Xenopus In Vitro–Assembled Mitotic Chromosomes
Includes three videos
