Quantitative Assessment of Immunoliposome
Protocol Info *
Immunoliposome (ImLp) is an important tool in drug targeting and delivery. However, no method is available to evaluate the accessibility and optimal orientation of antibodies attached to them. Antibodies on ImLp is generally estimated in terms of protein, which provides no information regarding their number and accessible orientation and also no clue about how much ImLp would be sufficient for efficient discrimination of target antigen. Here a method, which is based on ImLp-titre evaluated by means of ELISA is presented for estimating the appropriately oriented antibodies on any type of ImLp. This information is vital for dose related decisions as selective discerning by ImLp and the amount of encapsulated drug, both are equally important for the success of targeted drug therapy.
